Michael Jeresaty

Michael Jeresaty is a dedicated business executive based out of Charleston, South Carolina. With over three decades of professional experience, Michael has a wealth of knowledge and experience, especially in the realm of healthcare management. Before jumping into the professional world, Michael studied history at Bates College, where he graduated in 1985. Several years later, he returned to academics to complete an MBA in Marketing through the University of Texas at Austin in 1990.  

In his career, Michael Jeresaty has moved organizations only a handful of times, demonstrating his commitment to his work and dedication to his professional associations. Additionally, Michael has owned two businesses. From 1994 until 2006, he owned and operated Garnet Health Systems and Insurance Services, where he drove impressive innovation and growth. With over 15,000 physician clients and a unique solution to the healthcare credentialing processes, Garnet quickly grew to be a multi-million dollar company. Eventually, Michael helped to facilitate the sale of the company to Medical Protective Companies, a division of Berkshire Hathaway. After the sale’s completion, Michael stayed with the new company until 2010 as the Executive Vice President, where he continued to develop new products and solutions for their clients’ various needs.

Eventually, Michael Jeresaty chose to step away from Medical Protective Companies to build a new company, Ralston Health Group. Ralston provides esoteric laboratory tests to various healthcare organizations and has an extensive network of providers and physicians. Michael’s business philosophy is centered around the importance of relationship building, and he has worked hard to ensure that his network is carefully cultivated. He loves working in the healthcare field and knowing that his business supports hospitals in providing necessary care to patients across the country.

Outside of his professional work, Michael Jeresaty is a community-centered individual who sets aside time to support local charitable organizations and causes. He is currently the Board Chair for Trident Academy, a local school for students with learning differences. Michael is passionate about their mission and is grateful for the opportunity to help support their important work. Michael is also the Board Chair at A Safe Place, an institution for the prevention of domestic violence, and has spent time as a volunteer coach for local sports teams.
